Lilly has a new word: Uh-Oh! Paul taught her that the other day, and now she walks around the house pushing her walk behind saying “Uh-Oh”! She will pretty much say that on demand along with “da-da”. She says “ma-ma”, but only after a little convincing. She normally says “da-da” when I ask her to say “ma-ma”, and I have no idea other than she’s just stubborn like us both! She’s still talking a few steps a day, but she normally prefers to crawl. She just has to figure out that it’s more fun to run and walk than it is to crawl around with her silly crawl. She knows how to give kisses, but beware they are more like licks that real kisses! It grosses Paul out really bad. She’s just started to give kisses that don’t involve sticking her tongue out, and we don’t mind those ones at all!!!! They are such sweet kisses! I swear that she told me to “Get Out” the other day after I told her numerous times to get out of the pantry. She has yet to repeat this, and she has yet to repeat pulling everything out including all the plastic forks and knives helping me clean her way! She likes to help with lots of things. When I put something up, she likes to take it back out letting me know that she might be interested in playing with it still. She also likes to help with the dishwasher, and she specifically likes pulling out the steak knives! Lilly has learned how to escape out of the door. She is no longer afraid to venture on her own, and on a daily basis she will try to escape to the neighbor’s house in search of playing with our neighbor’s daughter, Mackenzie. I’ve finally found the need for those gates that go in the door to block her, and I know she’s going to figure out how to move them so she can escape again! No new foods to report this time. She still likes everything most of the time! We had to take Lilly to the hospital because of a high fever. Unfortunately is was after hours which is why we went to the hospital, and they were a little concerned about the tick that I found around her hairline on her neck. It was tiny, and when we went there the doctors could have cared less. She ended up throwing up on the way home making Paul and I feel really helpless. The doctor gave us a couple scenarios about what she had, and the one that was right was the flu. It was the first time she was really sick, and hopefully we won’t go through this until she can talk to tell us her tummy hurts or whatever ails her! Lilly has a crazy desire to sumo wrestle the cat! Poor Kaiser!!! Luckily for her he just lays down and admits defeat. Most cats would turn around to smack her with their claws!

She is a lot more mobile these days. The other day Laura and I were sitting in the living room watching television when Laura’s spidey sense went off and she asked where Lilly was. It turns out she had ventured out the back door onto the deck and was laying on top of Kaiser. It’s the oddest thing how he lets her just tackle and lay on him when the other cat would gnaw it’s own leg off to get away from her.
I have to admit this is my favorite movie to date. It shows Lilly walking, saying uh-oh and her crazy crawl.
I loved the video! She is such an angel. Paul and Laura thank you for sharing her with the family while we were up for the “Girls (and a Brother) Weekend” She was soo sweet and such a cutie pie !
I loved this video because it does a mother’s heart good to see her grandchild run (kinda) to see her “daddy”. It was true excitement.
