Lilly finally decided that it was her time to walk! Hooray!!! She’s been testing the waters a little each day for quite a while with a few steps here and there, and then on Wednesday June 11th, Lilly just stood up and walked! I couldn’t believe my eyes that she was attempting this on the hardwood floors, and she did it without injury for the first hour or so of walking. I managed to get a couple videos of her walking so that Paul would believe me a little better and so we would have it for Lilly when she gets older! She has become fearless as she darts out the front door now, and I have to remind her to go down the steps on her little bum so she won’t fall and hurt herself! I know one day I turn my back I’m going to catch her heading down to the neighbor’s house in hopes of finding Mackenzie outside to play with her! It’s just amazing to watch her grow before our eyes, and it’s the cutest thing to watch her wobble all over the house. We are just so proud of her for figuring this out! Now we work on talking!!!!!

Okay, I guess this isn’t as much about walking as it is about Lilly’s new found curiosity about everything. Well, this past weekend I was watching Lilly while Laura was taking a nap on the couch. I had been surfing the web on the computer when nature called so I snuck away for probably less than a minute. On my way back I heard grunting. I found Lilly with her hand stuck in the cat door we installed in the basement hallway door. I tried not to laugh, but it was pretty funny. She is scared of that door now. I think she believes it wants to eat her arm.
Curiosity is so much fun when they are this age. Lilly is such a cutie! Hope you have your shot gun ready for when she gets to dating age.
