Our little girl is finally 5 months! She’s getting so big, and she’s starting to become more mobile. She can roll from side to side on her back, and she can roll from front to back with no problems. She can even go from back to front, but she’s not as good at that one yet! She complains a lot when we make her roll, but Paul and I can tell you that she gets so excited sometimes she just does it without thinking! It’s really cute to see her get that excited! She’s starting the giggling now, and it makes your face muscles hurt because you get to smiling so much when you can get her to giggle! She’s getting more curious about her surroundings. We can watch her checking everything and everyone out when we’re out and about! She’s started putting her arms out like she’s trying to fly, and we think it’s the beginning of the arms up when she wants to be picked up. Paul can get her to do it almost any time he wants, and I have to act like a nut to get her to do it for me. She’s been doing great with her juice and cereal. She’s put on some weight this time too! I stepped on the scale with her, and it said that she’s weighing about 15 lbs. She’s making me get big arm muscles from throwing her up in the air and picking her up! I will say that she’s not the “fat” baby that most babies look like, but she’s our fat baby! We had an opportunity to go visit Great-Grandma Cook, and Lilly loved being over there! She got to play with another new face, and it was great to see Great-Grandma Cook be so excited! She’s still drooling a lot and chewing on everything. I let her chew on my fingers, and Paul can’t stand the feeling. Lilly loves kicking us. You have to watch out how close you get to her so that you don’t get a foot to the head! Paul’s almost been taken out by her ninja baby kicks when he plays with her in the mornings!!! She’s also been trying to immitate our mouths. She watches when we talk, and you can tell that she’s trying to talk back. All we get to hear is loud screaming or babbling. We love it! She’s even gone so far as to flirt with the men at the table behind us. We were out to eat in Chattanooga, and she was carrying on her own conversation with two men behind us! She had them waving and smiling at her for quite a while. Her cooing gets everyone’s attention, and then she always gives a great big smile! I’m happy to say that the smile is all me! She looks just like Paul in every way except that smile! I’ll be sure to post more pictures of her soon and of her and daddy at tennis. It’s that time again!
Gotta say I do indeed see your smile Laura. Cute picture too!
Thanks! We love our little monster!
