I figured Lilly deserved a post all to herself. She’s just an amazing little girl. She’s really taken well to the roll of big sister. She helps Paul out at night with Katie when I’m in school. One night I came home to the girls in our bed because Lilly was soothing Katie while I was gone. It’s just precious!!! Lilly is eating some meats now, but she really prefers fruit and veggies. Her vocabulary is expanding daily. I’m amazed at some of the things she tells me after only hearing them once. Lilly is a bit of a spaz like me. This past weekend at tennis, a larger poodle came galloping up to her, and she flipped out! The dog was enormous compared to her, and I can see why she would have freaked out. It was still funny to us because we could tell the dog only wanted to play with her. Luckily Paul was right there with her, and he was able to pick her up out of the dog’s reach really quickly! Another funny thing she does that mimics me is killing bugs. She walks around with the fly swatter trying to get bugs with it. Then she announces that she’s killed a bug. Most of the time she’s managed to just kill the air, but sometimes she surprises us with a bug or two! She’s already going on and on about the pumpkins. Everywhere we go we see pumpkins, and Lilly wants one bad! Lilly already has her fall wardrobe ready. I was amazed to see that she’s in almost 4T clothes! She’s not even 3 yet! It should last her all season I hope! Lilly should start up preschool this January since I have to take day classes. I’m hoping she’s able to make some new friends and work on communication better so that everyone understands her instead of just me! I’m sure there will be more Lilly news to come soon seeing that we’re about to start up the holidays very soon!

I just have to comment on the dog bit. Lilly and I were playing in the pine isles behind the bleachers when this dog galloped over to us. This dog was about as threatening as the Downy bear, but it did come up from behind Lilly. Honestly, I saw it coming for a few seconds before it got close to us and didn’t think a thing about it; well Lilly didn’t see it until it was about five feet behind her. I was really expecting her to want to play with it, but her reaction was just the opposite. I’ve never seen her that scared. She immediately started screaming bloody murder. It seems little girls don’t have the fight part of fight or flight. You could tell she was trying her hardest to get off the ground and run the two steps to me, but her body kind of seized up. She was trying to do everything at once unsuccessfully. Anyway, nothing bad happend, Lilly probably scared the dog as much as it scared her and we all got a good chuckle out of the whole thing. I have to admit, seeing Lilly seize up like that reminded me of this guy. Man gets scared by jumping lizard
