Not a ton has changed with Lilly other than she’s beginning to speak better. Her words are sounding more and more normal, and she’s adding to them on a daily basis. We have her working on the flash cards that Grandma and Grandpa made for her. She’s also really good at naming anything involved with her head. She can show you hair, eyes, mouth, nose, and ears. One morning she woke me up by sticking her finger in my eye and saying “eye”. Once my eyes opened up she told me that she had messed her pants (It’s any parents’ dream to be woken up that way!). It’s nice when we get the bed to ourselves at night, and some weeks we feel like she will only sleep in our bed. I’ve been so tired with school that I just throw her in bed when she wakes up in the middle of the night. It’s easier than rocking her or forcing her to stay in her own bed. I will break this habit very soon so that she can get used to her own room, and we can just tell her it’s time to stay in there. Maybe in a few years this might work, and I think it’s a nice place for now! We’ve found that she really likes to go to sleep to the ladybug that lights up to put stars and moons on her ceiling when it’s dark in her room. It’s very cute, and Lilly is determined to bring it where ever she wants to sleep. As for naps, she’s becoming more challenging since Paul gets home a ton earlier than he used to, and it seems like she waits for him to get home to take a nap. It makes for one late night with me, and she still likes to wake up really early! Lilly is running and chasing the cats as usual. She can call George and Kaiser by name. It’s funny when they run from her because it only makes her scream louder as she runs after them. She also likes to give the cats kisses. She grabs the sides of their faces or neck, and brings them up to her face so she can kiss them. One might think that she’s trying to strangle them at first, and then she reassures you that she’s only kissing them. The only cat that really lets her do that is the oldest of them all, Kaiser. He seems to be the most patient with her. The youngest cat seems to like to attack her any chance that he gets. I came home to a little girl with a scratched face. It appears that George wasn’t liking what ever Lilly was trying to do to him. He also stands on his back legs to use his front ones to smack her. Lilly has taken to a nice kick in his direction, and he runs away. For as rough as she is with them, she has very little battle wounds! We’re working on teaching her to be sweet to them. I think this might take an eternity to teach her!!!!! Lilly has also found the inside play area at Chick-fil-a to be almost fun. I have to climb in there to help her get to the slide, and she goes down that now with almost no problems. She likes the slides at the park better I think because they aren’t enclosed. Or, she might like them because I can fit on a couple of them with her, and she can ride down with me. My rear is a little too big to do the ones at Chick-fil-a. Lilly is doing better with food. She eats more and more. I think her favorite food is anything that’s fruit. I made her pancakes with strawberries on top, and she just loves them! She also really likes stroganoff without the meat. I haven’t figured out how to get her to eat meat, but I’ve been told by her doctors that this is perfectly normal. Lilly loves dress up. I mentioned that she received a wonderful Christmas gift of dress up clothes, and I will have to remember to take more pictures when we get to playing in them. Lilly is just a little ball of energy, and I wish most days that I had a quarter of her energy. She’s quite the independent little girl now, and she’s such a delight to watch grow and grow! More to come soon for Lilly!

I have just finished watching that video for the third time this week and can’t help but laugh out loud. She is a little fire cracker, and I so love the way she cheats like her Papa with that “one, two run run”. She is a joy even on the computer. Thanks so much for taking these. I don’t see her enough, but it helps to see these. I want to see a video with her in her “princess” outfit. see ya soon
So I had the neighbor girls over for a little bit yesterday, and they decided to play dress up with Lilly. Pictures are posted! Lilly loved having them over here, and I think she liked having someone to run around in their silly clothes the most! Pictures are a little posed because there is no getting 3 girls to stand still at the same time!
