Our little lady is growing so fast it’s hard to keep up! She weighs a little over 17 pounds and is 27-1/2 inches long. She’s been pulling up on almost anything she gets brave enough to try on. Paul had to rescue her from the big bad bath tub because she was too scared to let go. I’m just waiting for her to start holding on and walking along things. I know that’s not too far away from where we are now. Lilly and Katie seem to be the best of buds lately. Lilly takes Katie in her room, and they can play for hours if we’d let them! Katie really enjoys the rocking horse that Lilly got for her first Christmas from Santa. It bounces and rocks, and Katie thinks it’s so much fun. Lilly is also showing her horrible tricks on how to stand on the horse to jump off of it. I really hope that Katie has some common sense to not do this when she can walk! Katie takes great delight in watching Lilly have her drama queen moments! I think the more Lilly cries the greater delight Katie takes in it! Katie sees it as one big game! At least one of us are having fun with it!
It is surprising how well Katie and Lilly get along. Katie is pretty easy going and goes along with all of Lilly’s shenanigans. What I don’t know yet is if Katie just enjoys watching Lilly’s shenanigans or she wants to participate. I guess we’ll find out as soon as she’s more mobile and better able to communicate.
