We had an amazing time in Orlando, Florida this past week! Paul was sent there for a training seminar, and the girls got to enjoy the area while he was in class. The trip down really wasn’t that bad. It’s long, but the girls were really good. I took Lilly to go see the new Disney movie “The Princess and the Frog”. It was great, and she really got into it. She was talking to the screen much like I do at home. We were in there with one other lady. I love seeing the first movie of the day!!!! Katie was pretty entertained until she wanted to take a nap. She slept through the last half of the movie. We went to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! I can’t wait to take the kids there again! Paul was in class so he missed it, but I tried to take a ton of photos so he could see our little adventure! The park itself was so neat. It felt like you were in Asia or Africa. We really liked Africa because we got to go on a safari! They have over 110 acres where animal roam free. There is nothing between us and lions other than the car!!! We got to see things like elephants, lions, crocs, hippos, and much more. A very sweet couple sat next to us on the tour, and Lilly just jabbered their ears off about the animals. I was impressed that she knew almost all their names having never really seen them in person! They also have a petting zoo area where you can touch cows, chickens, goats, sheep, pigs, and donkeys. We took a liking to the goats and sheep because they were the friendliest! Lilly also picked up goat poo to ask what it was. Yes, I freaked out while running to the sinks! This happened a lot with other moms too, and you could watch us all running towards the sink! The girls got mouse ears, and we wore them through half of the park! Lilly’s has Tinkerbell on them, and Katie’s are pink Minnie Mouse ones. I thought about some for myself, but I would rather have stuff for the girls! We were at the park all day long!!!! Lilly was a trooper, and when we got back to the car she was out in about a minute! We also went to Sea World. Once again I think I had the most fun! Paul was able to come with us this time! We saw Shamu and dolphins. It was really neat. We also got to feed sting rays and touch them! They are a little slimy like I thought, but they are also a lot stronger than I ever imagined them being! Lilly liked the penguins! She found a Dory fish in one of the tanks. She really likes fish thanks to her favorite movie “Finding Nemo”. Katie was snug as bug on me the majority of the park. I don’t think she slept any other than when we first got there. She wanted to see it all too! The whale and dolphin show was one of the best parts. It really was neat to see. At lunch, Lilly got to feed the birds. They were right next to us trying to get whatever we would throw their way! We ended our trip with a visit to Gatorland. It’s not as big as the rest of the parks, but it was fun! Overall, our trip was amazing! I sure hope we get to do it again!

We had a really good time on this trip. During the day I went to class and the girls toured the attractions, but every night we all spent a lot of time together and had a nice dinner. We even got to hang out with Travis and Erica a few nights. It was really nice to come to the nice hotel everyday after class to three happy and exhausted girls. I couldn’t always tell who was more excited Laura or Lilly, but they all looked incredibly happy and tired from all the fun they had during the day. If all my business travel experiences were half this great I would become a traveling salesman and take the family on the road. I couldn’t have asked for a better business trip/vacation with exception to our last night encounter with the crazies. And by crazies, I mean Laura. Long story short, Laura bought some attraction tickets from some aggressive people who she later thought were hunting us down. If you’ve read enough posts and comments here you know Laura is prone to being overly paranoid at times. Except for losing a few hours of sleep nothing bad came of our incident and I will always be able to look back and laugh about the whole thing.
