I personally can’t believe it most days that Lilly is 7 months old, and then she starts crying at 3 in the morning reminding me of the first couple months! I’m sure glad that those days are behind us!!!! She weighs 16.5 lbs, and she about 28 inches long. She was a wiggle worm at the doctor’s office, and we got it as close as we could! She’s gained a pound and a half in one month!!!! I can’t wait to see how much she’s put on in January at the next visit! Lilly has two teeth now! She’s got one tooth that’s very visible, and the other one just cut through the other day. We knew something was wrong with her because she would be up in the middle of the night crying, and she normally is a very good sleeper! So, we do Tylenol before she goes down for the night, and if she wakes up we do it again. My girlfriends and neighbors have been telling me to use those teething tablets that are homeopathic tablets that melt instantly. I’m a little worried about putting things in her body that I really don’t have to. I’m not sure exactly what the side effects are and how well they actually help the pain! She said he first word which was “da-da”! She’s said it for about 2 days straight, and then she stopped. She has no idea what it means other than Paul stops everything that he’s doing and kisses her! She’s starting to become more of a daddy’s girl. She even gets fussy when Paul has to get ready for work! They play so much together I think she feels cheated when she has to come with me because I can’t throw her as high as daddy! She’s still not crawling, and I’m hoping that the more she’s down on her tummy the more she’s going to want to crawl! Maybe by Christmas she’ll want to crawl!!!!
We’ll see about this crawling business. I tend to believe she’s not going to crawl because she’s so unhappy during belly time. I think she will walk first because she is soo happy when she stands on her feet. It’s about the only trick I have to get her to stop crying.
What do you mean her first words were “da-da”? I distinctly heard her say two months ago: “Hello, Grandfather. I love you very much!”
You should pay more attention to what your daughter has to say! (that doesn’t necessarily hold true for sons.)
There is no way that Lilly would say that without saying “ma-ma” first! Keep dreaming Grandpa!!!!
Cute. The resemblance to Paul gets more distinct as she gets older.
You have to watch that Tylenol, not to long ago they had a bad batch that had killed a couple of infants. As far as crawling, Amelia started at nine months, and she wouldn’t let us show her. She had to find out on her own. she has just taken her first steps within the last month. She will do it don’t worry. You guys have a very beautiful daughter. I look forward to seeing you guys soon. Although through the holidays, working 2 jobs and all, it will probably be a while. Take care.
She is getting so big and cutier with every picture that ya’ll post. Even if someone things she resembles Paul. Please give her a hug and kiss for me. Have a wonderful holiday season with that precious little girl!
I’ve been told more often now that she looks a little like me! It’s not a bad thing to look like her dad!!! He’s quite the handsome guy!!!
Hope you guys had a good Thanksgiving. 🙂
We did! Thanks. I trust you had a good time in TN and got plenty of turkey? Was Amelia able to eat some turkey this year? I think smelling all the tasty treats on Thanksgiving and not being able to enjoy them would be my worst nightmare!
