We’ve talked about getting a dog for a long time and it seems Laura made up her mind while I was gone on a business trip this last week. When I came home she was pretty excited about this dog she found on the internet; so excited in fact when I said I was on board she drove about an hour and a half to the Humane Society the next morning to pick her up. Her name is Zoe and she is a mix between a long haired dachshund (wiener dog) and something else, maybe a rottweiler by her coloring? She is 3 months old (born 12/23/2010) and about 10 pounds today and we were told she is fully grown. She is your typical rambunctious little puppy always wanting to run, play and chew. Unlike most small dogs she has been remarkably quiet. She has only barked a handful of times and they’ve almost all been caused by Dolph, the cat. They’re not exactly friends yet. Dolph has done everything in his power to avoid her.
