In the past two weeks we’ve received around 6″ of snow over a period of about 4 days. I’m sure that doesn’t sound like much, but it effectively shut down everything in it’s path, at least in Georgia. Government, schools, and businesses were forced to close. The excessive traffic and abandoned cars made national news. There was even a skit on SNL poking fun at us and out inability to deal with “The Devil’s Dandriff”. All that aside, we really enjoyed our time with the snow. It seemed the whole neighborhood had snow sleds on the ready, which I found odd as infrequent as we get snow. There were kids sliding down the front lawns in nearly everyone’s yard. Our next door neighbor even built ramps in his front and back yard out of the snow. The girls had a blast. I think this was the first time Katie has really seen snow and it was both of their first times really playing in the snow.

At one point both of the girls had come inside to warm-up and drink some hot chocolate when I noticed Laura was still outside. Apparently, the kids weren’t the only ones to enjoy the sledding. Laura was outside sledding all by herself with no kids around.
