We received some snow today, the first and likely the last of the year. It has been forecast for the past few days and started almost on que while Lilly was taking her nap. I was pretty excited to introduce Lilly to the snow so I woke her up and pointed at the snow out of the bedroom windows. Her jaw dropped and insisted on going outside. A few minutes later we had her dressed and ready to go. I’ll let the video show the rest.

Paul Malone is an electrical engineer, amateur tennis player, devoted husband, and grateful father of two. He also loathes talking about himself in third person and wrote and maintains this blog, so he can pretty much do whatever he wants. That said, I started this blog when my wife Laura and I were expecting our first child after rifling through some old photographs in a shoe box from my folks and thought to myself "There must be a better way". This blog is my answer to that question and has allowed me to use some of those expensive college classes and have some fun along the way.
I’ll give you more background to the snow. We had some blinds open in just about every room Paul would or was in so he could see the snow when it changed from rain to snow. Lilly and I were taking a little nap, and Paul came in to wake me up so that I could see the snow. Then it took him about 20 minutes before he fully convinced himself it was alright to wake up Lilly to see the snow. Lilly is not the happiest person to be woken up from a nap. She gets that from me. I’m great when I wake up on my own, but it takes me a minute before I get going when someone wakes me up. Lilly tried so hard to ignore Paul’s attempts at sweetly waking her up. She finally saw the snow out the window, and she really didn’t know what to do. She was just amazed at the big white things falling from the sky just like her daddy!!!! So Paul and Lilly got to enjoy their snow together, and we’ll have to wait another couple years before it does this again!
Love that my little boy is still a child at heart when it comes to snow! I wonder if Lilly will be a snow person like her Dad or a beach bum like her Mom.
