She’s officially a big girl! Once again, moving here has been the best thing for our family. Lilly is going to an amazing school, and we love how wonderful the atmosphere along with teachers all seem to be. Lilly is in Ms. Duryea’s class, and Paul and I both mentioned how super young she is. Lilly really seems to like her. The school offered an orientation session that allowed the kids to see all the wonderful things they would get to do along with allowing the adults time to talk to teachers and staff about the upcoming year a couple days before the actual first day of school. PTA is a big thing for this school, and yep- we joined! (Insert jokes here)!!! Lilly had a test run with the bus, and we were allowed to join here so we could see how things went the day before school started. Lilly’s first day went really well. She brought home a great picture that she colored. She still freezes up when you ask her what she did. We managed to get out about the picture, she went to the science lab, and she made a new friend. She also had more energy than most kids which quickly turned into an early bed for her. She had a great second day that was filled with a little more hesitation about the bus compared to her first day. She managed to do everything just fine once we were there. I’m sure the newness of the year will wear off soon, and waking up by 6am will prove a little more challenging! Overall, Lilly is enjoying her time at school!
