I took Lilly to the dermatologist today, and the visit went great! We found out that she has a port wine stain birthmark, and they aren’t worried about it at all. It’s showing no signs of spreading or that it’s raised in any spot. Sometimes when it’s raised it can continue to grow, and when that happens it’s time for treatment. The doctor told me that the longer we wait to have it treated the more likely we are to not have to get it treated at all. She predicted that it should fade completely or almost completely. What a relief! If we do have to have it treated, it’s a simple laser procedure that takes only one time to treat. Basically they said it feels like a rubber band is snapped on your arm. I’m imagining that it’s not going to be pleasant if we have to have it treated, and Lilly is going to have to sit still on her own! Keep you fingers crossed that it fades on it’s own!
I imagine as a parent good news is always wanted even more than in other situations… glad to here the future drape climber is doing okay!
My baby isn’t a monkey!
Monkey is no where in the sentence I simply refer to possible drape climbing in the future and it does not have to be high or lengthy.
(Feel like I am looking at a lion cub and momma doesnt like it too much)
I apologize if I affended Mrs. or Ms. Malone by my comment.
Hopefully Lilly won’t feel the need to climb drapes! If I have a baby monkey I might be pulling her off of them, but I think I might have a baby giraffe. Right now she takes up most of my upper torso, and I have a feeling that it won’t be long until this girl is going to be taller than me!
I love the deer in headlights look she’s got here. She gets this puzzled look every time she sees someone now. You can tell she’s trying to figure out who that person is and whether she’s going to like them or not. Most of the time she grins then lets out a tiny giggle and wiggles when she recognizes us. It’s pretty cute.
