Lilly went to see the doctor today, and we have a growing girl! She’s weighing a healthy 11 pounds, and she’s almost 24 inches long! She’s now in the 80’s as far as percentiles, and they told us she’s going to be a tall girl! Her feet gave that one away!!! She keeps climbing those charts. I’m personally hoping that she’s going to be taller than me and not as tall as her daddy! Also, she’s started drooling more which means that she’s working on those teeth. Not too excited for personal reasons about the teeth thing, but they reassured me we shouldn’t see them for a few more months! Unfortunately Lilly had to get her shots today, but our nurse was a pro at them! She gave her five shots in under a minute, and I quickly soothed Lilly. We’re on the Tylenol drops for the next 24 hours to make sure she doesn’t run a temperature and make her less irritated. She’s handled the shots much better than I expected, and I hope that she continues to do this well through the night. She’s just a little cranky right now. Only a couple more months before we see if her pretty blue eyes stay! The doctor said it takes about 6 months before you can tell if they are going to change. Also, she’s allowed to have water!!! It’s going to be a nice break for her to drink water instead of mommy milk all the time! Now she’s all ready for the beach!
