We got to enjoy one of those wonderful doctor’s visits that Lilly is known so well at her pediatricians’ office as “The Howler”. The poor girl gets a shot every time we go! She’s weighing a great 24 lbs and 13 oz making her in the 58th percentile! Lilly is finally above average in weight, and it’s the first time ever!!!!!!!!! She’s 34 inches tall, and that makes her in the 97th percentile for her age. She still has a big head too! The nurse said it was in the 90th percentile. So there really is nothing like me about Lilly other than that smile, and she just seems to take more and more after Paul. It’s okay because he’s cute too! Lilly has been getting into everything as usual, and she has her own way of helping me out. It seems that every time I clean, Lilly goes behind me to “clean” her way. It normally involves taking the toys back out that I had put away! The funniest Lilly stunt lately happened yesterday when I went to give her a bath before the doctor. She had bathed herself in peaches, and I’m sure they would rather deal with less sticky kid. So, I started the water , and guess what came shooting out of the faucet?! A piece of pink chalk! We fight Lilly on a regular basis with smuggling chalk in the house. You turn around for just a moment, and Lilly had decorated the walls, furniture, and windows in the chalk she managed to bring in the house!!!!! We tell her every time we walk inside that chalk belongs outside, and we think that she’s dropped it all – WRONG! I think she sticks it in her diaper or down her clothes. Anyways, we always manage to track it down, and this time one piece got away from us. So I had a good laugh about how creative Lilly has become in trying to stash her chalk in the house. She also has a bad habit of throwing toys in the trash can. I know that there has to have been a few that I missed. One day she might miss them, but right now it’s just a big game. We’re still working on talking, and nothing really new to report! If anyone has any suggestions on how to get her to talk I’m all ears! She just seems to be more interested in running around and causing trouble!
