I guess I owe a little news about school. I absolutely love school. I finally found that great thing in life that I want to grow up and do. School has provided me with plenty of opportunities to see what kind of nursing I would like to get into. I’m still thinking that I want to do OB/GYN NP, but I’ve found I feel really comfortable with everything. I have 5 semesters left which seems like a lot, but when you look at how long I’ve been going at it- light at the end of the tunnel comes to mind! This summer was particularly interesting with a project at the federal prison. I really enjoyed it, and it shocking to see what the basic needs people have once you go outside your little bubble. I get teased a little and asked by faculty if I would ever consider teaching college, and I really have been giving that some thought. I would love to do it, and we’ll all have to see when I can make that happen. I still want to do nursing, but adding in a class here or there would be interesting! Right now I have a 2 week break that I plan on doing nothing for school for at least 3 days until I crack open my books and begin to prepare for Med-Surg! This semester should be nothing short of interesting!!!!
