I swear time is on fast forward with us these days! Katie has officially turned 5 months, and it seems just like yesterday I found out I was pregnant with her! She has been such an angel. Katie is such a happy baby who smiles almost all the time. She’s even said her first word!!! She said “mama”!!! It’s only fair since Lilly said “dada” first! Now she won’t say it all the time. It’s mainly when she’s upset and wants something, but right now anything will do for me! She’s started on jar foods. She hasn’t tried all that much, and she seems to like applesauce and sweet potatoes quite a bit. For some reason she’s not that fond of pears or bananas, but I know that Katie will change her mind once she gets peas in her mouth! Those things are truly vile without being all mushed up and bland for baby food! I won’t fault her for not liking them! Lilly is still extremely caring to her little sister. I love to see how loving she is with Katie, and Katie just smiles and coos at Lilly. Katie loves to be tickled and played with, and her laugh makes it all the more fun for us. Not sure if I mentioned before about her rolling to get places these days, but she rolls to come get us. She’s pushing up well on her legs, and she can push up with her arms. It will be interesting to see when she starts to get them in sync so that she can attempt to crawl! Katie is also getting a lot more sturdy, and hopefully she’ll be sitting up all by herself any day now. One more month to go before we go see the doctor, and I will post more about her weight, height, and motor movements! Till then…..
