Happy Thanksgiving

We wish everyone a day filled with family, friends, and the usual fabulous feast! One of my favorite things Lilly has brought home to celebrate Thanksgiving was a turkey she made in class. The feathers were cuts outs of her hands, normal looking turkey body, and little girly eyes declaring Lilly had made a girl turkey. She then told her teacher what she was most thankful for which was printed at the top of the picture. When I picked Lilly up from school, she comes running to me and declared that she made a “chicken” for Nana. Her teacher just laughed and tried to explain again to Lilly that it was a turkey. Lilly is very set on what she wanted to call it, and chicken was it for the day. We’re still having a little trouble with the difference between turkeys and chickens. Her teacher also made the comment that she can predict a little of what most of the kids are going to say, but Lilly is the only exception to that. Lilly has such a wild imagination, and the things she says only further demonstrates this magnificent mind! So from a wonderful little girl, this was her message about Thanksgiving: “I thank God for her Nana, Fruit Loops, monkeys, and learning her lettters.” I’m most thankful this year for two healthy and beautiful girls, a loving and wonderful husband, the love and support of my inlaws, great friends, and a younger brother and nephew that I love very much! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
