Happy Halloween

Part 1:

Lilly at the pumpkin patch

We went to the same pumpkin patch as last year this past weekend, and Lilly had a blast. She particularly liked running in the pumpkins! Luckily for us we didn’t have the same crowd as last year, and we could actually let Lilly run free. This year she wasn’t as photogenic, but who really is when all the want to do is run away from the camera! We thought all we were going to get is Lilly blurs because she wouldn’t hold still, but we were pleasantly surprised by a few of the pictures. Don’t get me wrong – she’s still a blur in quite a few! At this farm, they had the best smelling something that Paul and I couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. It smelled like a yummy and spicy pumpkin pie! I really wished we could have found the source of the smell because pumpkin pie sounds great about now!!! We still only got a small pumpkin this year, and maybe in a couple years I’ll get to have one of those mutant pumpkins when kids are older! More pictures to come when we get Lilly all dressed up for Halloween! Don’t forget to check out the new pictures here.

Part 2:

Lilly was a tulip fairy for Halloween! She was so cute, and she knew how to get candy from us! We were trying to get her to take pictures, and the candy bribe was the only thing that kept her still. This girl LOVES chocolate!!! So not only was Paul challenged with an uncooperative kid, but he also had an uncooperative camera because it just would not take pictures. You will notice the obvious chocolate on Lilly’s mouth as we try to bribe her so that Daddy can take some funny pictures. Daddy and Grandpa took Lilly trick-or-treating around the neighborhood, and then she came home all ready to eat the things she had just walked around collecting. We broke down and gave her a couple pieces, and she kept passing out her candy in hopes that someone would share it with her! We now have to hide the candy bowl because she takes you over there and points for more candy!!!! We really do have a smart kid. Poor Grandma and Grandpa kept getting pulled by Lilly to the candy, and we all know that Grandparents don’t tell grandbabies no! Another funny event that happened to us on Halloween was our guest bathroom was experiencing flushing problems.  Grandpa was on the floor trying to check out the toilet, and Lilly seemed to be scared to death of him. I think it’s because she knew what he was going to find, and maybe it could have been that she thought the toilet was attacking him. Who knows what makes her react the way she reacts! After Grandpa and Daddy took the toilet off the floor, they discovered Lilly had shoved her toothbrush down the toilet – YUCK! Her toothbrush went missing no more than two days before the issue, and I assumed that it would turn up again like the other times she decided to try to brush the cats with it or swirl their water for them! Worst case, I thought the toothbrush had been taken outside, and I would just buy her a new one once I gave up the search. Well, the search is officially over, and Lilly is getting a new toothbrush! Here are the Halloween photos!
