Destin 2015

We decided to rent a condo from Seascape Resort for the week in Destin while the girls were on summer break from school.  The condo was great; More room than we needed and walking distance to the beach.  Immediately after arriving, we were welcomed by the ducks, which like everyone else in the Florida service industry, wanted something from us.  In this case, our goldfish and bread, which the girls were happy to share.  We spent the first day or two at the local beach, but decided to mix it up and go to a different beach every day after including Miramar beach, Henderson beach, Okaloosa Island beach and Navarre Beach in hopes of finding more shells than the local beach on Scenic Gulf Drive.  Unfortunately, we never hit the shell jackpot, but we had a good time and got to explore more of the area.  Some of the nights we went to the local tourist restaurants like Gator Beach and The Crab Trap.  We also stumbled upon Tommy Bahama, which we had never heard of.  Maybe we were both really hungry, but the food was amazing and earned Tommy Bahama a top ten spot on our favorite restaurant list.  The girls had a great time; Laura got all the sun and relaxation she could ask for and I got to get sunburns in new and interesting places.
