Lilly had her first party! It went great with almost everyone showing up that was invited!!! Unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side, and we had to use plan B by setting up in the garage. Tammy and Tom came up a little early to help set up and get food ready, and it felt like everything really went smoothly for as many people were there and the weather! Paul was great at the bar-be-que, and Tammy made a great cake. I got to make Lilly’s ladybug that we thought she would destroy, and instead of destroying the cake she just poked a few holes in the blacks spots with her fingers! I think she had more fun playing in the frosting instead of eating it. She actually spit out the cake and just wanted to continue to make a mess. She enjoyed having other kids to play with, and I really think she liked all the attention! Opening the presents was a little better than Christmas because she managed to get a few open most of the way by herself, and she also had some helpers open presents while she was off playing with her newly opened toys! I think she might have been happy just opening one toy and playing with it exclusively, but mean mommy made her open all of them! It was nice to have some friends and family over to help us celebrate Lilly turning one! We’re extremely thankful to all the family and friends that sent presents and cards, and I’m especially thankful to Tom and Tammy for coming up to help out!
