We decided to go to the aquarium to get out of the house for a little while. Our aquarium is perfectly located in the middle of Atlanta, and that normally comes with a ton of people. Who would have thought it was going to be so busy when we went because we sure didn’t! Once we were able to buy tickets, we had a while to wait before we could go in. We decided to go hang out at the CNN Center and play at the park. It was especially nice that the Coca-Cola museum was doing some promotional thing so we got free coke zero! (Yes Tom, even you would have had enough coke to last the day!) Lilly had fun at the park, and I was able to give Katie a bottle while we waited. It was a beautiful day and also very warm. Lilly’s little cheeks were so red from running around! Once we were able to get into the aquarium, Lilly was so excited to see the fish. She loved watching the beluga whales the most. I think she would have stayed there nearly all day if we let her! They really are so graceful for being as large as they are. Lilly also got to see otters! They are very cute and really smelly! We also got to go into the big attraction which is a tunnel through the tank. You can see all of the fish, sharks, and anything else they have in there. We heard that you can pay to swim in this tank too! Lilly sat right up front by the glass watching the rays and big fish. There were 3 big whale sharks in there too! One of the rays I think was called a Manta Ray, and it was enormous! It was also neat to watch because it was doing flips or circles right in front of us! And Lilly got to see “Nemo”! She was the most impatient for that because there were so many people crowded around a little tank, and poor Lilly had to wait her turn. I think it’s funny how they strategically place the exit to these places so you have to go through the gift shop with your already overwhelmed and extremely tired children! So yes, Lilly got a fish that was named “Deepo”. It looks oddly like another fish we’re so fond of called “Nemo”! It was a fun family outing, and I’m sure many more to come!
