For the past few weeks Katie has been in the gray area between cruising and walking, and now I would have to say she is officially walking. She’s had the coordination down for a while now, but only recently taken the initiative to just stand up and walk without holding on to something. She would cruise while holding on to anything! Lilly has been her main aid in walking, and her other favorites were the kids chair, ottoman, and push-along toy. She can basically run now while holding on to those and sliding them on the floor! She’s still working on her balance, but she has taken as many as twenty or so steps before plopping back down. What’s really scary is that she can scale the stairs all by herself, and we find the girls outside because Lilly can open the doors by herself! It’s fun to see what ages each of the girls start doing things, and Katie managed to squeeze walking in at thirteen months compared to her sister at fourteen. I think the biggest part of that is Lilly teaching Katie different things compared to us trying to teach the girls. Katie would follow Lilly any day over us! Still no new teeth! I guess it’s just one thing at a time for her!!! Enjoy the video!
