Lilly is doing great! I’m guessing based on our scale at home that she is over 20 pounds, and I’ve tried to measure her with no success. She won’t hold still long enough for me to try to get any measurement of height! Right now she is officially on cow milk!!! Hooray!!!!! The transition was a little bumpy the second day, and now she screams for her bottle! Now the next step with that is getting her to take milk and go to sleep with someone other than Mommy! I’m keeping my fingers crossed! She gets so silly at night when Paul is there, and she does everything she can to get his attention to play. She’s going to have to figure out that he can do more than just play. He walks through the door from work, and she immediately says “Dada”. I’ve finally got her to say “Momma”, but she says it no where near “Dada”. Right now she calls everything “Dada”, and she has started pointing at everything that she sees. We flipped her carseat to where it’s now facing forward, and she just stares out the windows pointing! Sometimes I get loud shrieks of excitement with the pointing. The only down side to Lilly facing forward is she hasn’t wanted to take a nap in the car. I know that I get going on errands during her naptime, and she just won’t sleep in the car. Hopefully the new will wear off of looking straight ahead, and she can get back to taking those naps for me! Lilly has started to move her feet! We take hold of her hands, and she is moving her feet like she’s ready to walk! We discovered this when she was trying to play peek-a-boo with me in the bathroom, and I grabbed her hands to get her from behind the door. To my surprise she was walking! She has also taken pretty well to eating what we eat. I still have to make it mushy until she gets more teeth, and it looks like she’s getting in two top teeth soon. One tooth looks like it’s going to break the skin any day, and she’s drooling and biting on everything to get it in! Now we’re getting ready for her birthday party! I can’t wait to watch her make a mess of her cake! She’s already had a bite of the practice cake, and hopefully she’ll remember it so we can get some silly pictures! Since we cannot attend Lilly’s first birthday party we all would like to wish her congradulations and hope she has many more great days to come!!
