Lilly keeps moving faster and faster to the year mark! Our little girl is nine months and full of personality!!!! She weighs 18 pounds and is 29 inches long! She has a healthy appetite, and I finally have her eating a little meat with her meals! We would have to disguise her turkey and rice with applesauce or some other fruit. Now we can finally give her anything without the spitting or shaking that usually accompanied those foods! She can say “da-da” all day long, and she refuses to say “ma-ma”. The other day I asked her to say mama, and she shook her head no and said dada! It might be a little early to predict this, but I think we might have a daddy’s girl on our hands! She’s still not crawling completely yet, and she took her first real movements for crawling at the doctor’s office because she wanted a certain toy. She managed to go forward instead of backwards, and she had 3 continuous steps of crawling. I’m just waiting for her to repeat this so that we can actually call it crawling instead of a coincidence! However, she still scoots wherever she wants to go to get into things. I have to really watch her because she’s become stealthy when getting into things like our entertainment stand. She can see the remotes sitting on the shelves, and she just has to have those ones. Paul gave her one of her own which is much smaller so it will be just her size. She still has to have the ones that we have in our hands or we get a fit! I gets fits from her all the time now. It’s mainly my fault because I’m giving her stuff I probably shouldn’t. I fed her a little of my dinner roll while we were visiting her great- grandmother in Tennessee, and when I told her she was done she let me know that she had other plans. The fit was so bad that I ended up giving her more just to make her settle down! She ate an entire dinner roll ( minus the crust) by herself! I guess she wanted a snack because dinner was over an hour away! She got to see her cousin Aiden and Uncle Matt while we were up there. She enjoyed having another baby around, and Aiden enjoyed using her as something to crawl over. She also found out that she now has someone to compete with when it comes to screaming! When she screams with excitement or just for the heck of it, I thought she had to be the loudest baby! Now we know that Aiden can join right in there with her. Lilly’s latest accomplishments have been waving to people and crossing her fingers. When she waives we can never tell if it’s going to be waiving towards herself or the person that she’s trying to wave to! The crossing the fingers thing is a little unusual, but she seems to be proud of herself for figuring it out. She was so proud of herself for figuring it out it was all she would do for a while! She still loves Curious George. Paul and I think it’s because she talks like a monkey too! She loves any music too. She bounces up and down when she hears anything on the TV or when I have the radio on in the house! Soon we’ll be celebrating her birthday with as fast as time has flown by!
