We hope everybody has a wonderful Christmas! We’ll post pictures as soon as we can of Lilly and her first Christmas! I tried to take some pictures of Lilly by the Christmas tree, and she was already trying to open presents! I’m sure the highlight of her day is going to be all the paper, and maybe in a couple years she’ll actually enjoy the presents! Merry Christmas, and we hope all of you have a great New Year!
Part 2:
We had a wonderful Christmas! It was nice to have my brother, Mark, come up to stay with us. Of course Grandma and Grandpa were there to spoil Lilly. Lilly got to take a nap on Grandma! If that’s not spoiled I don’t know what is! We played some of the usual games, and Paul got to eat some Honey Baked Ham. I think he looks forward to that all year! My favorite part is always going to be the cranberry sauce! Lilly’s favorite part was getting to try anything that I would let her. She’s not the biggest fan of mashed potatoes, but she does like green beans. These were whole green beans with a little seasoning. She won’t eat any of this for me, but if Grandma offers her this she eats it like I starve her! Santa gave Lilly a rocking/bouncing horse, and she does well with it as long as someone is playing with her. It has a seat that locks her in so that she won’t fall off. She’s started bouncing hard now that she’s figured out what it does!!!!! We’re going to teach her how to say ‘Whoa horsy!”. The cats also got spoiled at Christmas. Tom and Tammy gave them another scratching toy and a few play mice, and they play with everything on a daily basis! Kaiser brings me the mice acting like he’s been on a long hunt needing a good reward! Tom and Tammy gave us a great box of little things to help us out this next year, and we gave him instructions and supplies for cleaning a house since he’s a kept man! Paul also made this great scavenger hunt that’s going to take them places they may have never been or haven’t seen in a while. Paul, Lilly and I get to tag along too! It’s been fun on the first challenge, and hopefully he’ll have fun completing the other five! I’m glad that all the Christmas stuff is finally put away, and I look forward to doing it all over again next year!
Christmas was great and Lilly was a sweetie, although she had a little cold. Everything was decorated so festive. I so enjoyed spending time with our little Malone family. There was an extra special person joining us this year and that was Laura’s brother Mark – wished we had more time to spend with everyone, but Mark and I had to go back to work while everybody else was going to lounge the remainder of the week. A few things of interest was that Laura wrapped up some “house cleaning” tips for Tom since he is now the househusband; Paul thought it might be enjoyable to give Tom some “scavenger hunt” type things to do over the next few months (not looking forward to that); Lilly loved all the paper she could get her hands on; Laura and Paul gave me a digital picture frame that holds millions of pictures, which they had some loaded on already; we gave Paul a toy this year, a remote controlled flying bug and he was like a kid again; and finally, Tom did most of our shopping this year and was able to see Laura’s reaction when she learned Tom picked out her underwear (Laura’s mom always gave her underwear, so we took that on for Deborah) – it was funny!! Oh yeah, the cats got some catnip and were drunk with happiness by the time we left. Don’t worry – Kilar was cared for as well.
What I wan to know is who was worried about Kilar? That dog spent more time in everyones arms than acutally on the ground. And when she wasn’t she usually had a lair of pillows and blankets to nest in.
