Lilly is eight months now, and she’s growing like a weed! I was so worried that we were never going to get her to wear pants because of how skinny she was, but our little girl has a small tummy! It was great to see her next to a baby that was only a couple weeks older. We got to see Avery Converse, who is Grandma and Grandpa Malone’s neighbors’ granddaughter. We got to take the cutest baby pictures of the two of them together for the first time during the Thanksgiving holiday. Lilly was all about stealling the attention with her laughing and crying. Lilly knows how to get all eyes on her! Avery was so sweet and mellow! She was probably one of the calmest babies I’ve ever seen! We got a little smile out of her towards the end too! The two girls were so amazed at the other they sat there for the longest time just looking at each other. Then they started grabbing each others’ arms! It was so sweet!!!! Lilly had her first taste of turkey (made by Gerber!) for Thanksgiving and loved it! She got to get a couple Christmas presents early, and she played in them for a while. The first one was a jumper swing that hang in the doorway! She went crazy jumping once she figured it out, and now everytime you hold her she thinks she’s supposed to jump! Then she got a little walker that looks like a car. We like to chase the cats around the house in it! She’s just started figuring out going forward, and she hasn’t mastered going backwards yet. She did manage to get herself to the coffee table and pull off all the wires and papers her Daddy left there while he was working on the sound system! She likes to help me clean!!!! She’s not started to crawl, but she has started to scoot places. She’s even started to figure out a more graceful way of getting from sitting up to laying on her belly. Now if she could just manage to get on her belly without acting wounded we’d be in business! She has two bottom teeth, and I believe she’s working on the top ones. She’s chewing on everything! We don’t dare stick our fingers in there to check because she tries to bite them off! She’s still a picky eater like her grandpa!!!! She’ll eat what she wants to and when she wants to! So far her list of things not to eat are: peaches, green beans, carrots, mashed potatoes, and ham with pineapples. Some days she only wants to eat bananas!!!! We haven’t had too many of those days lately, and I’ve managed to get her to eat more veggies with chicken or beef. She’s still one of the happiest babies. We went to Grandpa Malone’s retirement lunch, and she didn’t scream or cry the entire time!!! However, when she got in the car to go home she let us have it! She screamed the entire way back because she wanted to take a nap! You would think if you’re tired you would just go to sleep, but not our little one! She got to take a nice nap at grandma and grandpa’s house before we headed back home. She’s got a great little schedule of her own that she sticks to, and you can look at the clock and predict that she’s going to want to take a nap or eat soon! Or, you can just wait a while so that she lets you know, but I’d rather be a step ahead than listen to her tell me(scream) what she wants!!!! Click here to see the latest pictures of Lilly!
