Wow, it has been a long time since we last posted any news. As you can imagine a lot has happened over the last year. Lilly started 1st grade and Katie started Pre-K at the same school. They’re both loving it and doing well. Laura has been very active with school and internships and externships and a bunch of other ships that basically mean you do a lot of free work at the hospital in the name of education. She is on track to graduate this May and we couldn’t be more excited for her. The girls both played soccer this fall for the first time; Lilly even scored a goal. On the topic of sports, I helped start an office softball team this year. We played two seasons and are still perfect, but not in a good way; we’re 0-21.
Not everything has been great. After several years of remission, Papa was diagnosed with cancer again. He went though lots of chemo and even a stem cell transplant this time. The treatments and recovery are still ongoing, but he is nearing a 100 day milestone where doctors will evaluate his condition.
Most recently we took a family vacation on a Disney cruise to the Bahamas. I could spend hours talking about how great the cruise , but I’ll say we ate, drank, played, swam, and thoroughly enjoyed the movies and shows on the ship. The ship was incredible, the service was impeccable and the weather was great.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy new year.
