Sometimes life really does feel like it’s racing by! Katie has been growing like a weed, and I expect nothing less from her. She still looks a ton like Paul! Only on rare occasions do I see myself in her. She’s is Lilly’s shadow most of the time, and Lilly really seems to handle her well. I’ve said it before- and I’ll say it again, our kids are really well behaved and exceptionally loving especially towards each other. Katie is going to school two days a week, and it’s been so beneficial for her. She’s really started to come out of her shell, and it’s encouraging her talking. Her teacher expects words out of her mouth, and Katie tries to communicate. I think that having other kids in her class has been a huge encouragement for her to start talking. Katie loves to paint at school too. I get so excited when she shows me what’s she’s done in class, and we have her latest work on the fridge. I love how she tells us “mine” for her artwork, and then she screams to “ninny” for Lilly’s artwork. She’s done really well with potty training. We’ve had a few more accidents on the days where she wants to be stubborn, but overall she’s done really well. It will be nice when she’s completely in undies including overnight. Katie got her first haircut about two weeks ago. I really couldn’t take all the layers she had, and I do have to say she looks super cute with her new haircut. She did really well for me in the chair too! Katie has become the enforcer with the dogs these days. I think she’s a little tired of Zoe pushing her down, and she will literally smack her straight! Katie has inherited my go get it done attitude, and she’s a little more independent than is good for her hence the nickname the enforcer. Katie particularly loves her weekends with Daddy. I don’t understand much that she says, but I continuously hear “Daddy …” about what she’s been up to. Since I work and do school on quite a few weekends, Paul gets to play Mr. Mom with the girls. They have their own routine of McDonald’s playground that seems to be a big hit on both ends. Life has been great for us, and we’re really looking forward to the holidays that are just around the corner!
