We had a wonderful and quiet fourth! Lilly got to enjoy Grandma and Grandpa’s pool for the first time! Of course she was in her adorable bikini again!!! At first she wasn’t enjoying the water much, but we got to playing in the pool which changed her tune. She stayed on Grandma’s lap while Paul and I got to play in the pool, and Kilar even enjoyed staying on a float! All of us enjoyed Grandma’s BBQ ribs and squash casserole! We went to go watch the fireworks, and Lilly slept right through them! It’s amazing how much she sleeps!
It was great to see Lilly going for her first swim, kinda. After she was in the water for about five minutes, her little chin started to quiver, so out she went. It was terrible, but I had to hold her while her parents played in the water. She was very interested in watching them in the water. Kilar is so accustomed to being the center of attention, she too, had to get in the water, by laying on the float. Kilar wants so bad to kiss Lilly all over, but we have kept it to her kissing her feet. Not sure if Lilly is enjoying that or not, but Kilar is.
This is the first time I’ve seen Lilly in a few weeks and she has changed so much. She is a little more meaty, but not much, and she smiles more than she grimaces. The best was when she would coo and then coo some more. She made me laugh so much my cheeks hurt. She is a doll and we are so lucky to have her in our life! I also noticed Tom spending more one on one time with her and he just melts. He is so good with her. I must say this was a better 4th of July than last year when Tom was just completing his chemo. This past year has past by so fast. Tom is doing pretty good, we saw Paul marry his bride Laura, they moved into their own house and have made it into such a nice home, and now have a beautiful baby girl. Life can’t be much better.
It really was a nice fourth of July. Nice weather, good food and great company. I know Laura and I had a great time and I think Lilly really did like the water once she got used to it. One conversation I can already imagine is me trying to explain to Lilly that her aunt Killar is not really her aunt but a small dog no matter what grandma says.
Paul – I don’t understand what you are trying to say! Love ya’ll anyway! Love the picture of Lilly – it’s going by so fast. Can you take a video of her and post it on this site??
